A new book about Prince Charles has shed more light on his infamous wedding to Princess Diana, almost 36 years after the event!

According to Prince Charles: The Passions and Paradoxes of an Improbable Life, by royal writer Sally Bedell Smith, Diana actually said the wrong name during her vows.

Never forget

To be fair, though, it wasn’t as bad as you think. The BBC reports that the young bride simply said ‘Philip Charles’ instead of ‘Charles Philip’ at the altar.

To be fair, Philip Charles Arthur George is a bit of a mouthful!

And she wasn’t the only one to flub her lines. The same article also reveals that Prince Charles referred to ‘thy goods’ in the vows rather than ‘my worldly goods’.
