There have been several heads of hair over the years that one would call ‘iconic’—the ‘Rachel,’ the ‘Kate,’ the ‘Pob,’ the list goes on—and we don’t think it’s controversial to say that Blake Lively also makes the cut.

Her long blonde waves defined one of the central pop culture characters of the 2000s, Serena van der Woodsen, and then became legendary in its own right after, even coining a brand-new colour name—‘Bronde’—in its wake.

But the long waves are no more!

The mum-of-two stepped out last night at the L.A. premiere of her terrifying new movie, All I See Is You, looking heavenly in a Ralph & Russo Couture skirt-suit with floral-appliqué peplums, and a brand new lob.

Lively kept her signature bright blonde, but cut it so it sat just on her collarbones, and sported a deep side part.

She showed off her new hair with a bold red lip, a bronzed glow and a subtle smoky eye.

We’re not sure as of yet whether the shorter cut is for a role or not, but either way we think this is a magic move from Ms Lively, and one that’s bound to inspire a thousand hairdresser visits hereafter.
