Would you let your 5-year-old girl walk in a runway fit for a Victoria’s Secret model?

Well, apparently mums in China don’t see a problem with it!

Young girls dressed in bras, bikini tops and fluffy underwear have been pictured walking the runway at a shopping centre in Chengdu, China, and it’s sparking major controversy.

Not only are the girls wearing skin-baring lingerie, but they’re also wearing winged props just like the catwalk show that made Sella Maxwell, Rosie Huntington Whiteley and Adriana Lima famous.

The girls which are aged as young as five-years-old were also wearing makeup as they took to the runway while crowds in the shopping centre took pictures.

One user on Weibo, the Chinese equivalent of Twitter, said: ‘I do not support children to participate in such activities too early!’

Another added: ‘I would rather my daughter play in mud.’

The catwalk show has been likened to children’s pageants in the US, where kids take to the stage in full face of makeup and skin baring ensemble to impress judges.

But, personally, we think a catwalk show full of kids wearing lingerie is a whole lot worse!
