Prince George and Princess Charlotte have an adorable Christmas tradition

Earlier this week, the Duchess of Cambridge hinted that Prince George and Princess Charlotte are already getting into the festive spirit telling a crowd in Leicester: "They’ve started all their Christmas songs and the Christmas trees are going up."

Now, Carole Middleton has revealed that her royal grandchildren already have a sweet festive tradition.

Speaking to The Telegraph in her first interview, Middleton opened up about celebrating Christmas with the little ones revealing that when it comes to Christmas trees, she "likes to have as many as possible in the house."

Most importantly, the mother-of-three ensures that she puts one Prince George and Princess Charlotte's rooms "so that they can decorate it themselves."

Although the Cambridge clan head to the Queen's Sandringham estate for the royal family's annual Christmas service, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge make sure to spend time with Carole and Michael Middleton.

Two years ago, the royal couple famously broke tradition and spent the festive season in the Middleton's home village of Bucklebury in Berkshire.

The family were famously photographed leaving a Christmas Day service at St Mark's Church with Prince George happily eating a candy cane.
