The spectacular 800sq m apartment is spread over two levels and includes seven bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a 10 car garage, cigar room, wine cellar, and two story water feature.

The property was reportedly purchased by ex-Domain boss Antony Catalano, who will move his young family from their waterfront Melbourne mansion into the penthouse, according to The Urban Developer.

The father of eight, who is reportedly worth in excess of $70 million, resigned as Domain CEO about a year ago and made headlines recently after he unsuccessfully tried to stop the Channel 9 and Fairfax merger at the last minute.

The apartment is designed over 650sq m inside and a further 150sq m of outdoor living areas.

Pair this with the in-home sauna, full gymnasium, two private pools, cigar room, and a 1000 bottle wine cellar and you would never need to leave.

The property also features floor-to-ceiling windows offering spectacular views from every room and a lift directly to the 10 car garage.

The sale price means the penthouse is worth a staggering $40,000 per square metre, making it the second biggest apartment sale in the country behind a $40 million apartment sold in Sydney.

Gurner had planned to release the penthouse to the market at the official launch in June but it attracted so much interest that he sold it for the $30 million asking price after some healthy competition from potential buyers.
