The last of 11 firearms stolen from a Palmerston North police station seven months ago has been found.

A police statement released on Friday said no charges have been laid in relation to the latest firearm recovered, but the investigation is continuing.

"As we have previously stated, a number of steps have been taken to improve both the physical and security processes at the station," the statement said.

In September, 39-year-old Alan Harris was jailed for the brazen Anzac Day burglary.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said at the time she was shocked at the burglary and ordered Police Minister Stuart Nash to get some answers.

Deputy Police Commissioner Mike Clement said the incident was "unacceptable by any standard, especially our own".
