Police have arrested three further people following a major operation targeting the Comanchero gang and its associates.

A police statement said on Friday, a 40-year-old New Zealand national was arrested in Sydney with the help of Australian Federal Police. The Comancheros are an Australian biker gang.

It is understood New Zealand criminals deported from Australia were setting up a chapter here.

The statement said he faces a number of drug and money laundering related charge, and police will be seeking his extradition.

On Monday morning, two further search warrants were carried out in Auckland as part of the operation.

Police say a 37-year-old woman was arrested and charged with importing methamphetamine and money laundering, and a 48-year-old man has also been arrested and charged with importing methamphetamine.

Both are due to appear in the Auckland District Court.

Last week, police seized $3.7 million in assets across Auckland targeting the high-profile criminal gang.

On Thursday, search warrants were carried out at ten properties across the Auckland region and six people were arrested.
