The Iraq War (2003-2011) began with the American-led invasion that toppled the government of Saddam Hussein in the search for weapons of mass destruction. Part of then-U.S. President George W. Bush's "War on Terror" after 9/11, the protracted armed conflict threw Iraq into chaos. Here is a look back at some moments, as we mark the 15th anniversary of the beginning of the war.
