New Zealand Cricket says the incident occurred during the Aces' drawn Shield fixture against Canterbury last week.

Munro was given a one-match suspension during a code of conduct hearing and he did not appeal against the ruling.

That means the allrounder will miss Auckland's match against Northern Districts beginning at Eden Park Outer Oval on Tuesday.

Munro, 30, has played for New Zealand in all three forms, his last appearance being the one-off Twenty20 against South Africa in Auckland in February.
