The All Blacks will return to Argentina's national rugby stadium for the Test against the Pumas in October.

The Argentine governing body UAR confirmed the Rugby Championship Test on October 1 will be played at Jose Amalfitani Stadium in central Buenos Aires.

The 50,000-seat ground, also known as Velez Sarsfield, is home to Argentina's Super Rugby entity the Jaguares.

It has hosted the All Blacks three times previously.

The last time was in 2006, when New Zealand won a tough Test 25-19 to keep their unbeaten record against the Pumas.

The three Tests in Argentina since have been in La Plata, on the outskirts of Buenos Aires.
