NZ Newswire logoNZ Newswire 15/06/2017

The All Whites will have to travel to the Solomon Islands for the deciding second leg of their final Oceania qualifying tie for the soccer World Cup.

The draw made on Thursday means the home-and-away tie will begin in New Zealand on August 28 and wrap up in the Solomons on September 5.

The winners will advance to an inter-confederation play-off in November against the fifth-placed South American nation, with a spot at the 2018 World Cup in Russia at stake.

With four rounds to go in the South American qualifying competition, fifth place is occupied by two-time World Cup champions Argentina.
