The All Whites are determined to finish the Oceania Nations Cup's pool stage on a high no matter what line-up they put out against the Solomon Islands.

The tournament favourites have won two from two in Port Moresby and have a healthy goal difference ahead of their fixture against the Solomons on Saturday night.

They will be without injured skipper Chris Wood and are set to rest players to give others in the squad game time.

However, coach Anthony Hudson says the All Whites want to end the round-robin phase at the top of their pool.

"We will be changing a lot of the players for this game but we're going to put out a strong team, he said.

"We basically prepared two teams for this tournament and I'm confident that they can do the job. We want to finish on top to maintain the momentum."

The Solomons need a win to keep alive their hopes of progressing to the semi-finals and Hudson said he had plenty of respect for opponents who have Auckland City coach Ramon Tribulietx helping them during the tournament.

"They have some very good, effective technical players and they play very similar to Auckland City with Ramon being there, so this is going to be tough game," he said.

"They need to win and we're looking forward to it."

The Solomons started with a 1-0 win over Vanuatu before falling to a defeat by the same margin to Fiji.

Both times, they have looked dangerous on attack without making the most of their opportunities.

Coach Moses Toata knows it's a tall order, but he believes his players can pull off an upset.

"I think New Zealand played differently in each match," he said.

"They have a lot of good players in their team, but then so do we."
