Police are appealing for information one year on from the unexplained death of Nelson woman Tracey-Anne Harris.

The 43-year-old was found dead her Marlowe Street home in Stoke on February 11 last year.

Police have not said how they think Ms Marlowe died but her son Jade Harris has been reported as claiming she was murdered.

Police on Friday issued a statement saying they believe members of the public are yet to speak up.

They say a detailed picture of the events during the days leading up to her death has been painted, but it's believed people in the community hold vital information, Detective Sergeant Ian Langridge says.

Hundreds of hours of investigation have gone into the case and police want to give Ms Harris's family closure.

"Even if it seems small or insignificant, it could be a vital link to other pieces of information we already have," Det Sgt Langridge said.
