Argentina have reclaimed control of the women's Test series against New Zealand in Buenos Aires after winning the third Test 3-0.

Goals to forwards Maria Jose Granatto and Delfina Merino bookended a strike from midfielder Eugenia Trinchinetti as the world No.3 ranked hosts created the majority of chances through their superior tempo.

Las Leonas won the first Test 3-0 earlier this week but a youthful New Zealand responded with a 1-0 upset win.

Assistant coach Sean Dancer was disappointed the Black Sticks let their opponents dominate the speed of the game.

"It was a frustrating game today, we didn't pay attention to some of the little details and allowed Argentina to dictate to us," he said.

"Playing a top tier team you need to be at the top of your game and today we lacked the quality of basics in our tackling and ball control under pressure."

New Zealand trailed 2-0 at halftime but improved defensively as the game wore on, preventing any further goals after the 36th minute.

The fourth match of the six-Test series is on Saturday (NZT).
