Armed man robs Christchurch dairy

NZ NewswireNZ Newswire 28/06/2016

A Christchurch dairy has been robbed at gunpoint.

An armed man walked into the Koki Dairy on Linwood Ave on Tuesday evening, threatened staff with a firearm and demanded cash and cigarettes, police say.

The man, who had his face covered, was seen running into nearby Damien Place.

The robbery followed the attack on a dairy worker from the One Stop Convenience Store in nearby Aranui earlier in the day.

In that raid, two masked men armed with a hammer grabbed cigarettes and cash and the worker was hit when he chased and tried to stop the pair.
