Aramoho's vastly experienced Peter Belliss has added another national bowls title to his collection with a comprehensive 23-9 fours win in New Plymouth on Saturday.

Belliss skipped Richard Girvan, Blake Signal and Lance Tasker to the win over Dean Elgar's Taranaki outfit in 16 ends.

Elgar, Gerry O'Sullivan, Neil Candy and John Garrud lost six on the third end and never recovered, Belliss's four controlling the remainder of the match comfortably.

In the women's fours final, New Zealand representative Jo Edward collected her fourth national title alongside Val Smith, Kirstin Edwards and Tayla Bruce with a 22-11 win over Wellingtonian Lisa White's quartet.

Edwards' four had to work hard, after White, Jessie Macaw, Natasha Russel and Kimberley Hemingway held an 8-5 lead after seven ends.

But experience proved key, Edwards restricting White to just three shots over the next 10 ends to wrap up the win.
