Black Ferns coach Allan Bunting has named four new caps in a 12-strong squad to contest the opening tournament of the women's rugby sevens world series in Dubai next week.

Bunting said the upcoming series was about building the foundations for long-term success.

"Dubai kicks off our new journey to the Tokyo Olympics in 2020. There is a real sense of excitement and we can't wait to get going," he said.
