The Black Ferns are bracing themselves for a testing examination against England when the national women's rugby team begin their three Test European tour.

Coach Glenn Moore says England be desperate to win at home at The Stoop Twickenham in London on Saturday.

"We've prepared well and adjusted to the cooler temperatures but we are under no illusion that playing the English at home will be a tough assignment," he said.

Moore has opted against handing former Kiwi Ferns rep Sharnita Woodman a debut in the match.

The Black Ferns also play Canada and Ireland on their tour.
