NZ NewswireNZ Newswire 6/05/2016

New Zealand will contest a four-nation women's hockey tournament in Darwin as part of their preparation for the Rio Olympics.

The fourth-ranked Black Sticks will face Australia (third-ranked), Japan (10th) and India (13th) at the event starting on May 31.

The tournament leads into the Champions Trophy in London in late June, which serves as the final major event before the August Olympics.

Australia, Japan and India are all in the opposite pool to New Zealand at Rio.
