However, Blackadder has made two changes to his backline, with David Havili starting at second five-eighth and Fijian flyer Jone Macilai joining Nemani Nadolo on the wings.

There are two changes to the Crusaders' reserves, with Sam Whitelock and Marty McKenzie set to provide impact from the bench.

The Crusaders currently sit second in the New Zealand conference, two points behind the Chiefs, with one loss from seven matches.

Crusaders: Israel Dagg, Jone Macilai, Kieron Fonotia, David Havili, Nemani Nadolo, Richie Mo'unga, Andy Ellis, Kieran Read (captain), Matt Todd, Jordan Taufua, Scott Barrett, Luke Romano, Owen Franks, Codie Taylor, Joe Moody.
