LA PAZ, Bolivia — Bolivia is launching a new natural gas plant that's expected to increase the country's output by 10 percent.

President Evo Morales inaugurated the Incahuasi plant in southwest Bolivia on Friday. He was joined by the president of Russian energy giant Gazprom, Alexey Miller, and a vice president of the French oil company Total. Total holds a 50 percent share in the operation and Gazprom 20 percent.

The plant will process output from a field that's expected to produce as much as 7 million cubic meters of gas per day and will help Bolivia supply markets including Brazil and Argentina.
