British astronaut Tim Peake has tweeted that he is about to navigate a robot through a simulated Martian landscape from the International Space Station.

Peake is currently orbiting the Earth from space as part of the ExoMars project.

The experiment will take place in a hangar at Airbus Defence and Space in Stevenage in the UK.

Major Peake tweeted yesterday: "Looking forward to giving rover Bridget in Stevenage, UK, a test-drive from space."
