Canty man jailed over fatal drug robbery

NZ NewswireNZ Newswire 2/06/2016 Cleo Fraser

A Canterbury man has been sentenced to almost three years jail for the manslaughter of a low-level drug dealer killed during a botched robbery.

Jason William Baker is serving a life sentence for the stabbing murder of Tony John Lochhead at his home in Rangiora, north of Christchurch, in September 2013.

Shaun Innes was sentenced to two years and 10 months jail in the High Court at Christchurch on Friday after earlier this year admitting he lured Mr Lochhead out the house and ran off before the fatal attack.
