Car crashes into Dunedin VTNZ

Police car © SNPA Police car One person has been hurt after a car struck by a truck careened into a Dunedin vehicle testing station.

Emergency services were called to the VTNZ building on Teviot Street at about 9am on Monday after a car was hit by a truck pulling out of Nichol's Garden Centre.

Fire crews had to remove parts of the wall that the driver had crashed into in order for the paramedics to assess and remove the patient.

One person was taken to Dunedin Hospital with minor injuries.
