Charles and David Koch appeared together on "Morning Joe" on Tuesday to give their first joint television interview. Charles Koch also sat down alone with hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, telling them that he has been "discouraged for a long time" with the Republican Party.

Koch and his brother are among the largest donors to conservative causes and their endorsement is generally crucial GOP candidates. They have $250 million to spend on the upcoming general election, but haven't yet chosen a candidate to support. They're hoping to back a candidate who espouses their libertarian-leaning, free market beliefs, Koch said.

"I don’t care what party, I just want somebody who’s going to advance these ideas,” he said. "I just want somebody who’s is going to advance these ideas, to take us away from this two-tiered system, getting involved in all kinds of unproductive things."

When asked if he sees a "candidate out there" who can forward his plan for the American economy, Koch responded, "Not in great measure."
