Brazilian midfielder Oscar could leave Chelsea in the January transfer window, according to reports that he is a target of Chinese club Shanghai SIPG.

Oscar has gone from being a frequent starter to a regular substitute with Chelsea, with his playing time in recent weeks reduced to short spells off the bench at best.

The 25-year-old joined Chelsea from Internacional in 2012, for a fee of around 25million pounds ($A42 million), and has won the Premier League and Europa League during his time at the club.

According to the Daily Telegraph, SIPG, who are coached by former Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas, have offered a 60 million pound ($A101 million) fee.
