NZ NewswireNZ Newswire 14/08/2016

New Zealand will play its Davis Cup second round playoff against Pakistan at Christchurch's Wilding Park.

Wilding Park has previously hosted ties against India and Chinese Taipei.

The playoff will take place from September 16 to 18.

"It works well for the team who are used to the courts and we know we get great support from the tennis public in the city," Tennis NZ CEO Steve Johns said.

New Zealand last faced Pakistan in a Davis Cup tie in 2013, when they emerged 4-1 victors in Myanmar.

The Kiwi side is made up of Finn Tearney, Rubin Statham, Michael Venus and Marcus Daniell.
