New Zealand Breakers guard Corey Webster has pleaded not guilty to assault charges over an early morning incident at an Auckland bar.

The 28-year-old Tall Black appeared at the North Shore District Court on Wednesday where he pleaded not guilty to two charges of common assault and one of assault with intent to injure over an incident at the Takapuna Bar on November 30.

Webster is scheduled to return to court again in March.

The Breakers stood Webster down for one Australian NBL match after the alleged assault, citing a breach of team and club values.

He has since been sidelined due to an injury and underwent hip surgery in January, ending his season.
