Veteran Brisbane midfielder Corona has capped off a sensational debut A-League season with the club's best and fairest award, the Gary Wilkins medal.

The 35-year-old Spaniard started every match for the Roar in 2015/16 and completed an incredible 1848 passes from his position at the base of midfield - the most of any player in the competition.

He also provided five assists, scored two goals and unseated Thomas Broich as Brisbane's regular set-piece taker.

"Congratulations to Miguel. We knew we had signed a fantastic player but we got so much more," coach John Aloisi said.

"A true leader and someone who has embraced our club values and culture."

Meanwhile, Jamie Maclaren capped off an amazing week and 20-goal season by sweeping the remainder of the Roar's A-League gongs.

Included in his first Socceroos squad on Wednesday ahead of a likely debut against England at the Stadium of Light later this month, Maclaren won Brisbane's golden boot, members' player of the year, players' player of the year and young player of the year awards.

W-League rising star Angela Beard was named Brisbane's women's player of the year and the players' player, while Emily Gielnik received the team's golden boot.
