Australia coach Mal Meninga has made two changes to his starting line-up for the Four Nations encounter against England at London's Olympic Park on Sunday (0100 Monday AEDT).

As expected Cooper Cronk is recalled after sitting out the win over New Zealand last Saturday along with Josh Dugan who has fully recovered from the head injury he sustained against Scotland a fortnight ago.

Cronk replaces Michael Morgan, who drops back to the bench with Dugan preferred to Justin O'Neill who is named on an extended bench alongside Shannon Boyd who is replaced by Tyson Frizzel.

Boyd is on stand-by to replace Sam Thaiday, should the veteran Queensland's forward fail to recover from a knee injury.

Thaiday ran for the first time on Thursday at the team's London training base and although he has been selected in the 17 he is still rated as 50-50 to play by the medical staff.

Team: Darius Boyd, Valentine Holmes, Greg Inglis, Josh Dugan, Blake Ferguson, Johnathan Thurston, Cooper Cronk, Matt Scott, Cameron Smith, Aaron Woods, Boyd Cordner, Matt Gillett, Trent Merrin. Interchange: David Klemmer, Tyson Frizell, Michael Morgan, Sam Thaiday, Michael Morgan, Shannon Boyd, Justin O'Neill.
