Cross-party mission heads to Europe

Mr McClay says they'll be looking for trade opportunities and aiming to enhance New Zealand's reputation for producing high quality goods.

"Italy, France and the United Kingdom are collectively worth more than $9.2 billion in two-way trade and are home to 190 million consumers," he said.

"Iran has traditionally been a very important market for our sheep meat and butter."

They're due to leave next week.
