Kiwi Danny Lee has grabbed a share of the lead after the second round in the PGA event in Fort Worth, Texas.

Lee was shot a six-under second-round 64 at the Dean & Deluca Invitational to go with his first even round and sit at the top of the leaderboard with Americans Webb Simpson, Kevin Kisner and Scott Piercy.

Lee, ranked 115th in the world, shot seven birdies and bogeyed the 15th but was overall pleased with his form.

"Ball striking was on point today. I wasn't really worrying about hitting one single shot out there. I felt like I can pull off any shot.

"My putting has been getting better ... besides missing a three-footer birdie putt on number 2 I think everything else was good."

Round three gets underway on Sunday morning (NZT).

Earlier in the week, the 26-year-old grabbed his first top 10 finish of the season in taking fifth at the PGA Tour event in Irving, Texas.
