Kiwi compatriots Danny Lee, Michael Hendry and Ryan Fox all moved backwards following disappointing second rounds at leading golf tournaments dotted around the globe.

New Zealand No.1 Lee dropped 10 places to be 51st at the Byron Nelson Classic in Irving, Texas.

Two birdies and two bogeys left Lee with a second successive round of even-par 70, placing him 12 strokes behind runaway American leader Jason Kokrak.

The two other Kiwis on the US PGA Tour - Steve Alker (four-over) and Tim Wilkinson (five-over) - both missed the cut.

Japan Tour regular Hendry started the second round of the Kansai Open in a share of eighth but lost his way with a three-over 74. He is two-over, eight strokes off the lead.

Fox endured a disappointing two days at the Rocco Forte Open in Sicily.

He missed the cut at the European Tour event by a shot after shooting twin rounds of one-under 69.
