New Zealand driver Scott Dixon doesn't feature among the pace-setters early in practice for the Indianapolis 500.

Dixon was 13th quickest in the third practice session for the 101st running of the famous race which will be staged on May 28.

Australian Will Power reclaimed the top spot on the speed chart by turning a fastest lap of 224.656mp/h (361.5km/h) at the oval circuit.

Three-time race winner and Team Penske team-mate Helio Castroneves was second at 224.287mp/h.

In warm, breezy conditions, the speeds were down significantly from the Monday session when Marco Andretti topped 226mp/h.

Dixon's lone win came in 2008 while he was a runner-up in 2007 and 2012.
