Scott Dixon © Mark J. Rebilas/USA Today Sports Scott Dixon New Zealand's Scott Dixon has finished sixth in the latest round of the IndyCar Series at Pocono Raceway.

The defending IndyCar champion was 7.8896 seconds behind winner Will Power in the ABC Supply 500 as the Australian claimed his fourth win of the season.

The race was delayed from Sunday because of rain and was the first time the drivers had been back at the Pocono track since the death of driver Justin Wilson 12 months ago.

Dixon, who qualified 19th at the "Tricky Triangle" track, pitted for fuel twice while the race was under caution, a strategy which eventually helped move him up to eighth.

But the Target Chip Ganassi Racing driver couldn't push into the top five as Russia's Mikhail Aleshin and Ryan Hunter-Reay followed Power home in second and third, respectively.

Power's victory saw him close to within 20 points of series leader Simon Pagenaud after the Frenchman's late crash.
