Winger Matt Duffie will face a SANZAAR judicial hearing after receiving two yellow cards in the Blues 30-22 Super Rugby loss to the Stormers in Cape Town on Friday.

Duffie's first yellow came in the 12th minute, and his second in the 66th for a dangerous tackle on Stormers winger Cheslin Colbe.

Former Highlanders midfielder Shaun Treeby, playing at second five-eighth for the Stormers, has also been cited for a dangerous tackle which left Blues No.10 Piers Francis unconscious and concussed.

Treeby was penalised but received no further sanction from referee Jaco van Heerden.

On review, the SANZAAR citing commissioner has deemed the incident met the red card threshold for foul play.
