Silver Ferns shooter Ameliaranne Ekenasio has re-signed with the Central Pulse for next season's inaugural ANZ Elite League.

The 27-year-old Ekenasio, previously known as Wells, joined the Wellington-based outfit for the start of the 2015 season after relocating from Australia.

She will be joined at the Pulse in 2017 by midcourters Whitney Souness, Claire Kersten and Sheridan Bignall, as well as enforcer Karin Burger.

"Wellington is home now and the Pulse were always my team of choice for next year," Ekenasio said.

"I'm looking forward to helping build a new and exciting era for the team."

Head coach Yvette McCausland-Durie said the retention of Ekenasio, a goal attack of international quality, was a huge coup.

Ekenasio's experience and ability would be critical.

"Ameliaranne has huge leadership potential and getting an experienced shooter of Silver Ferns calibre is massive for us," McCausland-Durie said.
