England have brought Adil Rashid back into the team in place of the injured Chris Woakes, surprisingly choosing two spinners to take on New Zealand in a vital Champions Trophy pool match in Cardiff.

Rashid, left out for the hosts' opening victory over Bangladesh at The Oval, returned as the only change to Eoin Morgan's team - bidding to seal a semi-final berth in Group A.

New Zealand, unchanged from their no-result against Australia at Edgbaston, have elected to bowl first on a breezy morning.

ENGLAND:

Jason Roy, Alex Hales, Joe Root, Eoin Morgan (capt), Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler, Moeen Ali, Adil Rashid, Liam Plunkett, Jake Ball, Mark Wood.

NEW ZEALAND:

Martin Guptill, Luke Ronchi, Kane Williamson (capt), Ross Taylor, Neil Broom, James Neesham, Corey Anderson, Mitchell Santner, Adam Milne, Tim Southee, Trent Boult.
