England out for 283 in third Test v India

Press AssociationPress Association 26/11/2016

England were bowled out for 283 early on the second morning of the third Test against India.

No. 11 James Anderson, fresh from a king pair in last week's defeat in Rajkot, came out swinging in Mohali after Adil Rashid fell to his first ball of the day.

It was enough to add 15 runs for the last wicket to England's overnight total, before Gareth Batty was lbw to Mohammad Shami (three for 63) to close the innings.

After Batty played out the opening over of the day from Ravindra Jadeja, Shami struck with his first delivery - a good one which left Rashid off the pitch for caught-behind.

When Batty went as well, two overs later, England had lost their last four wickets for 25 runs.
