Vicky Glynn won't renew her contract as chief executive of Equestrian Sport New Zealand but will take up other duties within the organisation.

Chairman Nick Pyke said Glynn, whose contract finished after the Rio Olympics, wanted to reduce her time at the organisation.

She will remain in a relationship role, liaising with world body FEI and other related groups.

"Vicky has a good understanding of the equestrian world and a real passion for the sport and its future development," Pyke said.

Director of operations Dana Kirkpatrick will be promoted to general manager on a one-year fixed term contract.

Last month, ESNZ high performance boss Erik Duvander resigned after a decade's service.
