Kiwi tennis No.1 Marina Erakovic has been granted a favourable draw in her bid to qualify for Wimbledon, with her first opponent outside the world's top 200.

Following a semi-finals finish at Ilkley in Yorkshire last week, Erakovic's world ranking has bounced from 148 to 129.

She's now been drawn to play Amra Sadikovic of Switzerland (world rank 221) in the first round of qualifying for Wimbledon this week.

Sadikovic has only made it to a Grand Slam main draw once before and went out in the first round.

Erakovic made it through to the third round of the main draw last year, bowing out to 12th seed Carla Suarez Navarro from Spain.

Her performance at Yorkshire has also given her a confidence boost.

Meanwhile, New Zealand's Artem Sitak and his American partner Nicholas Monroe have made it through to the quarterfinals of the Antalya Open in Turkey with a 6-7(2) 6-4 10-3 win over Roman Jebavy from the Czech Republic and Slovakia's Martin Klizan.

In Britain, Kiwi Michael Venus and partner Ryan Harrison were knocked out in the first round at the Eastbourne ATP tournament, going down 3-6 6-3 7-10 to Australian Matt Reid and India's Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan.
