New Zealand's Marina Erakovic is taking an elevated world ranking of 115th into her next tournament in Switzerland following a return to form at Wimbledon.

The Kiwi No.1 leapt 38 places to a 10-month high following her third-round exit this month which matched her best result at a grand slam tournament.

The 28-year-old won three qualifying games and then upset Serbian former world No.1 Jelena Jankovic in the second round of the Wimbledon main draw.

Her performance marked the end of a lean trot since returning from injury six months ago, having sat out the second half of 2015 with injury.

Erakovic's first-round opponent at the Ladies Championship Gstaad this week is German world No.38 and fifth seed Annika Beck.

Meanwhile, doubles specialists Michael Venus and Marcus Daniell will continue their Olympic preparations at ATP tournaments in Germany and Sweden this week, where both are in fourth-seeded combinations.

Venus and Croatian Mate Pavic will contest the German Tennis Championships in Hamburg while Daniell and Brazilian Marcelo Demoliner are at the Swedish Open in Bastad.

Also in Sweden is Artem Sitak - who narrowly missed Rio selection - in a third-seeded pairing alongside American Nicholas Monroe.
