New Zealand driver Mitch Evans has qualified fourth fastest for the feature GP2 race at Monaco this weekend.

The 21-year-old Kiwi, driving for Spanish team Campos Racing, averaged 150.364 km/h in clocking 1min 19.962sec for his fastest lap.

Russian Sergey Sirotkin (ART Grand Prix) topped all qualifiers, averaging 151.708 km/h with a 1:19.168 lap.

Evans made a subdued start to the 11-race GP2 series in Barcelona two weeks ago, finishing 12th in the feature event and 14th in the shorter sprint race.

Last year, he produced seven podium finishes, including two race wins, for the Russian Time team.
