Families move into partnership homes

NZ Newswire logoNZ Newswire 29/11/2016

The first 14 families have started moving into a new block of apartments in Auckland provided through a partnership between government agencies and community organisations.

Social Housing Minister Paula Bennett says the Ministry of Social Development worked with three providers to ensure the 14 vulnerable families had safe homes.

The Glen Eden apartments were bought by Housing NZ from a developer and community provider VisionWest leased them.

It sub-leased some units to Monte Cecilia and Airedale Properties.

Those organisations provide wraparound services for the tenants, funded by MSD.
