Jury and Sinclair both impressed in the shortened version of the game in Melbourne last month, when the Fast5 Ferns trounced Australia 41-16 to retain their world series title.

At 1.92m tall, 20-year-old Jury adds some much-need height to the defensive circle, while midcourter Sinclair, 21, gets her chance in the absence of long-serving centre Laura Langman.

Langman's 12-year career with the Silver Ferns is on hold after she signed with former Magic coach Noeline Taurua at Sunshine Coast Lightning in Australia's new domestic league.

The Silver Ferns begin their Quad Series tour in Durban on January 28 against Australia before travelling to England where they face England in Liverpool on February 2 and South Africa three days later in London.

Silver Ferns: Katrina Grant (captain), Maria Tutaia (vice captain), Gina Crampton, Shannon Francois, Anna Harrison, Kelly Jury, Bailey Mes, Grace Rasmussen, Te Paea Selby-Rickit, Sam Sinclair, Jane Watson, Maia Wilson
