Female tramper still missing on West Coast

The 36-year-old was last seen on December 22 in the Punakaiki area, Detective Sergeant Kirsten Norton says.

She had been walking local tracks and may have then hitchhiked north.

She is 180 cm tall, of medium-to-solid build and described as wearing a blue-grey rain jacket, running shoes and black three-quarter pants.

Ms Crooks may also have been carrying a driftwood walking stick and a blue and purple Kathmandu tramping pack.
