The FIFA World Cup is laden with opportunity for getting rich, quick, whether you are player, sponsor, or spectator.

At home, the TAB is promising to give away $5 million to one or more lucky punters. All you have to do is correctly pick all 64 outcomes.

Jeremy Sullivan, from share broking firm Hamilton Hindin Greene, has been crunching the numbers.

The chances of winning are about one in 4,350,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, or one in 4 thousand, 350 billion billion billion.

For short - one in 4.35 nonillion.

That compares with one in 38.3 million chance of winning the first division Lotto prize.

As Jim Carrey put it in Dumb and Dumber - "So you're telling me there's a chance?"

Of course, the final could be decided by something as capricious and uncertain as a coin toss.

Current betting puts Brazil out in front to take the Cup, followed closely by current holders Germany, then Spain, France and Argentina.
