Foran in talks to join Warriors: report

Troubled NRL star Kieran Foran is reportedly in talks with the Warriors to revive a career which was derailed by injury and off-field dramas in 2016.

The out-of-contract five-eighth, who was last month released from a lucrative deal with Parramatta on compassionate grounds, has endured a horror season which ended with a shoulder reconstruction.

He was also given time off during the year to attend a rehabilitation clinic and deal with personal problems.

One of the brightest talents in rugby league, the 26-year-old is a premiership winner with Manly and a New Zealand international - and someone Warriors chief executive Jim Doyle is interested in luring back to his birthplace.

"I have been talking to Kieran for quite some time, helping him work through the issues he's had," Doyle told News Corp.

"I'll continue to talk to him through these issues.

"...Of course we'd love to have him."

The Warriors, grand finalists in 2002 and 2011, boast one of the best rosters in the NRL - with halfback Shaun Johnson and injured fullback Roger Tuivasa-Sheck among the most dynamic stars in the competition.
