New Zealanders Ryan Fox and Danny Lee slipped to an 11th place finish at the World Cup of Golf in Melbourne, having fired most of their shots in round two.

Fox and Lee dropped three places on Sunday, closing with a five-under 67 to be 10-under. Only five of the 28 competing nations shot a worse score on the final day using a four-ball format.

Denmark's Soren Kjeldsen and Thorbjorn Olesen retained their overnight lead to win on 20-under, four strokes clear of the United States, France and China.

The Kiwis produced their best golf at Kingston Heath Golf Club in the second round, when a 64 propelled them into contention.

Both will contest the Australian PGA Championship on the Gold Coast this week, with Fox beginning his first season on the full European tour.
