Fox fired eight-under 63 to rocket up the leaderboard into a share of fifth at Millbrook Resort.

He started steadily, managing two birdies across the opening nine holes and adding another two immediately after the turn.

Fox went on to finish the back nine in style with four consecutive birdies to sit 13 under the card and share fifth place with Australian James Nitties, who recorded two birdies in his opening four holes.

Australian Brad Kennedy held the overnight lead at 16-under, with New Zealanders Ben Campbell (15-under) and Michael Hendry (13-under) close behind after two rounds.

Hendry began his third round promisingly, with three birdies and a bogey in his first four holes, but Campbell struggled to maintain par, going bogey-birdie at the third and fourth to sit on even par early in the round.
